It is a great thrill when a childhood hero becomes a personal friend. Back in the early 1990s, John V Ulakovic met and partnered up with Ray Harryhausen to develop and release a number of his bronze sculptures. That partnership became a multi-decade friendship.
John sculpted 21 of Ray’s most famous creature creations in bas relief and offers them in two formats, on the base of his tribute bust to Ray and as this stand-alone plaque. The plaque, which is felt backed, has recessed holes on the back (16” centers) to permit hanging it on a wall. Alternatively, it can be purchased with a plexiglass stand designed to display the plaque at an angle on a table or desktop.
